Hello
there, Welcome to Seed To Feed Restaurant and Happy Hydro Farm I'm Dow, Restaurant and Hydroponic farm owner
As both
a restaurant and a hydroponic farm, Seed to Feed has its roots in a chance
meeting between worked experience in Australia.
Fifteen years ago, I went
abroad to study and year passed she began to feel homesick. Then I was return
to Thailand. I have a passion about hydroponic farming and wanting to eat
vegetable grown naturally without the help of pesticides, I decided to start a
hydroponic farm. I initially cultivated for my personal consumption, before
word of mouth pushed locals to ask me to increase my production in order to
enjoy fresh vegetable as well.
I thus put all of my efforts into growing my
vegetables, herbs, edible flower, sprouted seeds and fruit tree. My endeavors
were successful and I obtained the GAP (Good Agricultural Practice) license
issued by the Ministry of Agriculture.
As the farm grew, a
hen house was added to it, not just for fresh eggs, but also in order to make
compost and processing damaged vegetables. Nothing is thrown away, everything
is transformed! The hens are fed spoiled vegetables and my dropping are used to
make the compost that is then used as fertilizer.
After 3 years of
running the farm, the idea of opening a restaurant and smoothie bar became
increasingly attractive. While the two built the wooden tables, and the open
kitchen with the help of family member, I also found old decorative objects in
the attic of my parents, to give a second life. The restaurant atmosphere is
warm and relaxing. The dim light in the evening bring a romantic and soothing
touch.
The menu was created by my own. From breakfast with fresh egg of the day
to colorful salads accompanied by different choices of original seasonings,
meat or fish dishes, appetizing deserts, energizing and healthy smoothies’
herbal teas, and organic coffee from Chiang Mai, everything is fresh and 70% of
the products that make up the dishes come from farm.
"Seedtofeed
Koh Phangan" Beautiful decorated, peaceful, relaxed and friendly
cafe/restaurant that can be enjoyed any time of the day, side by side with the
farm which is cared for with love by our "happy farmer" members to
create and deliver fresh, good healthy, produce to use in the restaurant and
for you to take home.
Thank
you,
Dow
